Danger: cat under the hood

Winter : the cats and the cars

When it is cold, cats will tend to look for a place to warm up and the warm engine of our car seems to be a good solution. Unfortunately, when the car is started, the cat can be injured or killed.

Some tips that will help you protect cats this winter:

  • Keep your companion at home during this season because, with the low temperature, he will seek a source of heat and will take refuge under or inside the engine of a car.
  • Make noise when you get into your car: tap the hood of your car and slam the door. This way, you’ll eventually alert a cat that may have taken refuge in your engine. You can also honk your horn to wake up a sleeping cat.
  • Give the cat time to escape
